When you enter our hospital, you will notice that our reception area is equipped with various animal health care products, pet food, ample seating and a play area for children. We have two exam rooms that are accessible from the reception area. Beyond the exam rooms is the treatment area where the laboratory, pharmacy, x-ray room and surgery suite are located. We have three pet housing areas – a cat ward, a dog ward with kennels that run for bigger dogs, and an isolation area for infectious animals. We would be happy to arrange a tour of our hospital if you would like to take a closer look at where your pet is staying.
Embrun Veterinary Hospital participates in school co-operative programs and also encourages students to volunteer if they desire to learn more about the veterinary profession.
The majority of your pet’s health needs will be met at our hospital; however, there are circumstances where the services of a veterinary specialist may be required. Under these circumstances, we will refer you to a specialist who is a veterinarian with advanced knowledge in a particular area of veterinary medicine or surgery. In these cases, specialized equipment is often required to perform procedures that are not performed by general veterinary practitioners. Examples of veterinary specialists include ophthalmologists, oncologists, surgeons, etc.
