Dog Blood Tests

Monitoring your dog's health is crucial, as they may not exhibit visible signs of illness.

Blood tests are one of the best diagnostic methods available. Our in-house lab machines are capable of giving us information on both the state of your pet’s blood, as well as the status of many of their internal organs. Our machines can detect things like anemia, infection, liver and kidney disease, pancreatitis and more within 20 minutes. We are also equipped to test for heartworm, Lyme disease, and two other tick-borne diseases. For more specialized testing, a sample will be sent to IDEXX Laboratories and results will be available within 1-3 business days for most tests.

How do I interpret my dog’s blood test results?

Once we have your pet’s blood results on hand, a veterinarian will go over the results with you and explain the significance of each parameter.
